About Our School
Alice Smith Elementary School, located in the North Valleys in Reno, Nevada, is a proud member of the Washoe County School District. We serve a diverse population of students in grades PreK–5 and are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all learners.
At Alice Smith, we believe that every student can achieve at high levels. Our dedicated educators focus on academic growth, social-emotional development, and building strong relationships with students and families. Through collaborative teaching, research-based instruction, and a school-wide focus on being respectful, responsive, and ready to learn, we foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
We are a Professional Learning Community (PLC) school that values teamwork, innovation, and student-centered practices. With our STEAM lab, digital citizenship programs, and positive behavior supports—including our beloved Whinny’s ticket system—Alice Smith is a place where students thrive both academically and personally.
Together, we are building a community of learners who are prepared for success in school and beyond.
