Curriculum

At Alice Smith Elementary, we use research-based, district-approved curriculum to ensure high-quality instruction across all subject areas. For English Language Arts (ELA), we implement Benchmark Advance, which emphasizes reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, and foundational skills. In math, we use Reveal Math, a program that builds conceptual understanding through problem-solving and hands-on learning. Our science instruction is guided by the FOSS (Full Option Science System) curriculum, which promotes inquiry-based exploration and real-world application of scientific concepts. All of our instructional materials align with the Nevada Academic Content Standards and support our goal of preparing students for success in school and beyond.
